Hallelujah Diet: Getting Started
60 Days to a Hallelujah Waistline!

For success on the Hallelujah Diet, getting started with the essential basics is your first step. Here you will learn what you need to have on hand for Hallelujah Acres' "60 Days to a Hallelujah Waistline" and beyond!

You will also learn what you need to do to plan ahead. Remember, if you fail to plan, you plan to fail!

I'll go over everything in detail first. Then, I'll provide a link to an action list and a shopping list.

BarleyMax

A Hallelujah Diet essential is nutrient-rich BarleyMax. Organically grown and dried at a low temperature, BarleyMax is alive with the enzymes you need to build new, strong, healthy and vital cells in your body.

BarleyMax also,

1. Helps your body detoxify, getting rid of those nasty toxins that are making you sick

2. Helps your body activate its God-given self-healing power

BarleyMax three teaspoons three times a day- upon rising, 30 minutes before lunch and 30 minutes before dinner.

How you take your BarleyMax is up to you. Some people, like Reverend Malkmus like it dry, letting it dissolve in their mouth. Others like to mix it with a couple of ounces of distilled water.

As for me, I'll take it either way. Usually, I shake it up with water and drink it. This also helps me to drink more water each day.

One 8.5 oz BarleyMax (the large size) contains 120 servings. So, for the 60 day challenge, you will need one 8.5 oz BarleyMax and one 4.2 oz BarleyMax.

You may want to be sure you have enough by ordering two of the large BarleyMax because the BarleyMax powder 'settles', making the listed serving amount approximate.

By the way, you can get it in an alfafa-free version, if you'd like.

Freshly Extracted Vegetable Juice

Another Hallelujah Diet getting-started essential is freshly extracted vegetable juice. Fresh juice is alive with enzymes and nutrition.

Our body is a living body made up of living cells. Our body needs to be nourished with optimal, living nutrition. With its emphasis on raw, living plant foods and their juices, the design of the Hallelujah Diet is to maximize the vital nutrition that gets to our bodies' living cells. This nourishment helps our body to heal itself as God designed.

Freshly extracted vegetable juice, at least twice a day, on an empty stomach, preferably carrot juice or carrot juice-based.

If you can't juice at all, or on those busy days when you've no time to juice, consider using CarrotJuiceMax. This is dehydrated carrot juice, similar to BarleyMax. It's a great substitute for fresh carrot juice. In fact, it's the only substitute recommended by Hallelujah Acres.

Juicer

Of course, you will need a juicer to make that freshly extracted vegetable juice. And it needs to be a juice extractor, not a citrus juicer.

There is a wide price range of juicers. Get what you can afford. Hallelujah Acres recommends and carries the Champion, priced around $250, and the Green Star, priced at around $500.

The primary difference in juicers is the way the juice is extracted and the heat generated by the extraction. Too much heat will destroy the live enzymes. This defeats the purpose of freshly extracted juice.

The second thing to consider is whether the juicer you select can juice hard carrots. Some of the cheaper juicers won't do well with hard vegetables such as large carrots or beets.

But, overall, get what you can afford. You can always upgrade later. If you don't want to buy a juicer for the 60 Days to a Hallelujah Waistline challenge, consider using CarrotJuiceMax.

Water

And plenty of it! How much? That is really hard to say. But, the more cooked food you eat, the more water you need to drink.THe best water you can get is the water that is naturally in raw, fresh fruits and vegetables.

In addition to that, you do need water. The general rule is to drink (in ounces) about half your body weight. For example, if you weigh 150 lbs., drink about 75 ounces of water a day.

The best is distilled with WaterMax added to it.

Based on research by Michael Donaldson PhD, Hallelujah Acres recommends distilling your water for maximum purity, then adding WaterMax to alkalize it and add back vital minerals. Dr. Donaldson wrote an article detailing his research in this. The article is 'Water - The Choice for Long-Term Health", available for free download here.

Hallelujah Acres carries 2 models of the Waterwise distiller; the Waterwise 4000 Water Distiller for $289.00 and the Waterwise 8800 Deluxe Water Distiller for around $400.00.

We have the Waterwise 4000. My 12 year old daughter refers to it as "sweet water". She loves the taste of it. She says it quenches her thirst better than other filtered water.

Next best is reverse osmosis, also with WaterMax added to it.

For any filtered water, add about 1 teaspoon of Watermax per gallon of drinking water. One 8 oz. bottle of Watermax is good for 48 gallons of water. So, you probably need to have 2 bottles for the 60 day challenge.

An Exercise Plan

Exercise is an essential for health and is part of this 60 day challenge. Whether it's a daily walk or a daily run, exercise is vital for building our muscle mass, and aiding our immune system in fighting diseases.

For many of us, if we don't plan the time for exercise in our day, we don't do it. Make daily exercise a habit in the 60 Days to a Hallelujah Waistline Challenge!

As for the type of exercise, make it something you enjoy, but also something that is a challenge for you. There are lots of choices. Do whatever you can to move more. Just don't overdo it!

If you're sedentary now, you will be amazed at the increase in energy you'll experience from following the Hallelujah diet! You going to have the sudden, strong desire to get up and get moving!

Fiber Cleanse

If you are just starting out on the Hallelujah Diet, Fiber Cleanse is highly recommended during the first two to three months. This product will assist your body to detoxify and will help to restore normal bowel function.

If you are a Hallelujah Diet veteran, use flax seed daily to give you lots of healthy fiber. It's also a great source of healthy Omega 3 essential fatty acids. Three to four tablespoons of freshy ground flax seed is a Hallelujah Diet daily.

Flaxseed must be ground and used fresh as it tends to go rancid quickly.

So, you will need something to grind the flax seed. A standard coffee grinder is available at Hallelujah Acres or you can pick one up at Walmart or Costco, or similar stores.

If you don't want to grind the flax seed, Hallelujah Acres carries New Generation's B-Flax-D. I love this product- it tastes great - crunchy and nutty.

B-Flax-D contains a stabilized flax so you won't need to worry about it going rancid so quickly. B-Flax-D also contains health-promoting vitamins B-12, K-2 and D, plus seleno-yeast, a source of selenium.

The daily serving recommendation is 1\\4 cup of B-Flax-D. You will need to work up to that amount to avoid getting too gassy. Best to start off with 1 to 2 tablespoons mixed in 6 to 8 ounces of water.

There are 30- 1\\4 cups servings in each package of B-Flax-D, so you will need 2 packages for the 60 day challenge.

To be continued...
